Matspha Int. Airport - Planespotting

Planespotting at Matsapha Airport is really easy. The best spot is a small terrace at the end of the terminals. Walk past the terminals towards the runway to reach it. From here you will have a good view on the apron (photo) and the runway.

To take photos on the apron, ask the airport staff to give you access. You may also try to ask at the airline offices. Another option is a visit to the local Aero Club (also offers snacks), which is situated along the access road. But be careful! Taking photos of aircrafts and airports is forbidden by law. It is always advisable to find somebody to assist you or to ask first.

There is not much going on at Matsapha Airport. Every day around 10 flights are operated by Airlink Swaziland (Jetstream 41) and Swazi Express Airways (Metro III) and there are hardly any private aircrafts. Only two aircraft of the Swazi Air force might be found.
