Interesting facts Only international airport in Namibia

Hosea Kutako International Airport (HKIA) is situated 45km from the Capital city of Namibia, Windhoek. It is the flagship of NAC (Namibia Airport Company), being the only international airport in Namibia. Its home carrier Air Namibia connects the country with South Africa, Angola, Great Britain and Germany and few regional airlines supply some further routes to surrounding countries. General aviation and domestic Air Namibia flights are mostly operated out of Eros Airport, which is only 5km from Windhoek.

Inside the terminal are the usual shops and a restaurant (40 seats). A tourist information is located in the Arrivals Hall, which is also ideal for those wanting to fetch someone from the airport. The airport's ATM's do accept VISA and Mastercard and only give Namibia Dollar (N$) that are equal to South African Rand (ZAR).

The airside of the terminal boost a VIP and a Business Lounge, Duty Free shop, gift shop, jewellery shop, a cafe and the VAT refund.

Petrol is provided for the public at the AVIS turnaround station. Due to the phasing-out of 93 octane fuel, only 95 octane fuel is available. Please note that you will have to drive 45km to get to Windhoek. Alternatively you can use a taxi/shuttle service.
